Catalog of the Forgotten

2018-2021

The original set of images (left) were taken during an outing where I was severely ill. I have no memory of the entire day and only know of the trip's existence because of the photographs I took. After years of straining to remember, and building some invented memories around the pictures, I turned them into a book of screen prints (center). Using the geotags of the original photographs to retrace my steps, I documented each page where the source image was taken (right), recreating my prior trek, though it felt like my first time in each of those places.
